Flooding across the U.S. is on the rise, and our region is not immune. The Miami Conservancy District’s flood protection system—our shield against destructive floods—is aging and facing the pressure of more intense rainfall. To protect our homes, businesses, and lives, ongoing maintenance and upgrades are critical.
Just like roads and bridges, our flood protection system needs constant care. We’ve highlighted our efforts to keep you safe on pages 4-6, showing the strides we’re making to strengthen flood defenses.
