About Lockington Dam:
The Lockington Dam, an earthen embankment crossing Loramie Creek, is located in southern Shelby County near the Village of Lockington. Built by the Miami Conservancy District between February 1918 and October 1921, the dam has been protecting communities for over 100 years. The road across the dam is a maintenance road and is typically closed to the public, making this tour a truly special event.
