Opened in 2012, a small parking lot allows access to this 5-acre riparian habitat along the State Scenic Stillwater River.
As you enjoy the short footpath through this park, you will encounter silver maple, box elder and American sycamore trees which all provide an island of habitat for wildlife species who call river banks home. Some of this wildlife includes beaver, songbirds, fox, a variety of reptiles and amphibians, muskrat and many other species. Be sure to keep an eye out for beaver chews and trees downed due to beaver activity.
Future plans for the preserve include constructing a canoe and kayak launch to provide easy access to the river.
