FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Miami Conservancy District’s Ginger Clark Elected to Statewide Recreation Board

DAYTON, OH — Ginger Clark, Manager of the Great Miami Riverway at the Miami Conservancy District, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA). Clark is one of three leaders elected by OPRA members to serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2025.

With a longstanding commitment to parks, recreation, and riverfront communities, Clark brings deep experience and regional leadership to her new role. She currently serves as the Region Chair for OPRA Region 3 and has contributed to numerous OPRA committees throughout her career.

Clark leads the Great Miami Riverway, a 99-mile+ corridor of river, connected communities, and trails designed to support economic development, outdoor recreation, and riverfront vitality in Southwest Ohio. Her election to the OPRA Board will elevate the Riverway’s mission, helping to strengthen partnerships and increase visibility for the role rivers play in healthy, vibrant communities.

“Ginger’s energy and strategic thinking have been instrumental in advancing our initiative to build stronger riverfront communities,” said MaryLynn Lodor, General Manager of the Miami Conservancy District. “Her leadership on the OPRA Board will help ensure that river corridors and connected trail systems are part of Ohio’s vision for recreation and community development.”

Clark will join returning board member Andy Wildman, Executive Director of the Granville Recreation District, and first-time board member Daniel Betts, Executive Director of the Cincinnati Recreation Commission. The three were elected by more than 300 OPRA members during a recent statewide election.

“We have been so blessed with strong leadership on the OPRA Board,” said OPRA Executive Director Woody Woodward. “Andy, Daniel, and Ginger will ensure that legacy of strong leadership continues. They have shown their commitment to the profession and to OPRA in many ways throughout the past several years.”

Clark and her fellow Board members will be formally sworn in at the June 17 OPRA Board meeting at Spring Hollow Lodge in Westerville, Ohio.
