Miami Conservancy District Launches New Online Permit Portal

The Miami Conservancy District (MCD) has transitioned to a new online portal for permit applications. This convenient system allows you to create an account, submit applications, upload required documents, and track the status of your request — all in one place.

MCD manages its lands to protect lives and property through flood protection, safeguard water resources, and provide appropriate community use. Permits help ensure activities are compatible with these purposes and do not interfere with MCD’s operations.

Permit types available include:

  • General Land Use Permits for defined purposes and timeframes
  • Temporary Land Use Permits for construction, farming, channel excavation, events, and other temporary activities
  • Storage Basin Permits for activities affecting MCD’s flood storage basins such as earth moving, structures, and RVs.

Fact sheets and manuals are available to guide complex projects.
